Nina Simon, author of The Participatory Museum (among many other things), has just returned from the El Museo Reimaginado Conference of the Americas in Medellin, Colombia, and she’s pretty fired up about it. Anyone interested in how museums can become community catalysts will read Simon’s most recent blog post about her experiences and get fired up, too.
Medellin, writes Simon, was the perfect place to meet, “…a city where cultural institutions were instrumental in turning crime and fear into hope and beauty.”
