Gallery and museum professionals are often on the vanguard of institutional and cultural change.  How are you leading and innovating?

We want to hear stories about new ways of operating within and outside of your institution’s walls. What have you learned? Submit for an opportunity to share your obstacles and successes with colleagues gathered from coast to coast to coast. We understand the labour required to do this work and look forward to learning from you. Case studies can elaborate on programs, exhibitions, partnerships, and best practices.

Selected Candidates will present at the 2025 GAME Conference on the ancestral and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, Vancouver, British Columbia between June 5-7, 2025. Presenters should prepare a 30-minute presentation with an additional 15 minutes for questions and an open discussion. They will receive a discounted registration fee for the full conference of $395.

Submissions should be no more than 1 page in length and should include the following:

  • Case study title and description
  • Your contact information and a profile of your gallery/museum (1 paragraph)
  • Presentation overview, including program development, audiences engaged, and lessons learned.

Your submissions should answer some or all of these questions:

  • What kind of tactics or methodology do you use to make your work more visible and relevant?
  • How do you engage in reflective practice?
  • How are you engaging audiences in a period of significant cultural and institutional change?
  • What strategies do you use to share best practices?

Please send submissions no later than 11:59pm April 1, 2025 to Alexis Boyle (alexis.boyle@museedelhistoire.ca) and Sarah Pitman (spitman@reginalibrary.ca). Submissions will be acknowledged and selections will be made by April 15, 2025.
